Introduction
Udaipur is a city in Rajasthan, India, renowned as the City of Lakes. It is the historic capital of the state of Meewar in the former Rajputana Agency. It was founded in 1559 by Udai Singh II of the Rajodesian Rajput family, when he moved his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar. 1) Udaipur City Palace.
